Driver – Non Medical Transportation

Job Title: Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver      

Location: Desert Medical Careers

Salary: $15 – $20 per hour, commensurate with experience
Hours: 10 hour shifts
Location: Goodyear, AZ to multiple locations in Valley

Job Overview:

Desert Medical Careers is seeking dedicated and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Drivers to join our team. In this role, you will provide safe and reliable transportation for patients to and from medical appointments, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities, ensuring timely arrivals.
• Assist patients with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, offering support as needed.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized vehicle, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Document transportation details and any special needs of patients.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and their families.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines for patient transport.
• Address any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years’ driving experience in the US
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No Failures to Appear/Pay (FTA/FTP) in the last 5 years
  • No suspensions in the last 5 years
  • No reckless driving or DUI in the past 7 years
• Previous experience in non-emergency medical transportation or a related field is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate attitude towards patients.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple appointments.
• Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
