Position Overview: As a Behavioral Healthcare Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of patients. You will assist in the implementation of treatment plans, monitor patient behavior, and provide support in a therapeutic environment. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient-focused, and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
• Monitor patient behavior and provide support to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Facilitate group activities and therapeutic interventions to promote socialization and coping skills.
• Document patient progress and observations accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, fostering a positive therapeutic relationship.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to communicate patient needs and progress.
• Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as necessary.
• Participate in staff training and professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral healthcare.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory protocols, including confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a behavioral healthcare setting or relevant training is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of mental health issues and treatment approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
