Position Overview: As a Radiologic Technologist at Desert Medical Careers, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong technical skills, along with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and other radiologic exams as required depending on the position applying for.
• Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain the best quality images while minimizing exposure to radiation.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Review and assess images for quality and completeness, collaborating with radiologists to address any concerns.
• Educate patients about the imaging process and provide instructions for preparation as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including infection control protocols and radiation safety measures.
• Assist with departmental quality assurance initiatives and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
• Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and state licensure in Arizona.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of radiologic procedures, safety protocols, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
